Max E. Kennedy, 94, of Greenfield and former longtime Wilkinson resident died June 4, 2023 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.
He was born May 29, 1929 to the late Lawrence E. and Thelma (Jones) Kennedy.
Max was a dairy and grain farmer before owning Williams Manufacturing at Willow Branch then becoming sales manager at Applegate Steel Company in Saratoga from where he retired.
He was a member of Nameless Creek Christian Church; Eden Chapter No. 101 Order of the Eastern Star; and Shirley Masonic Lodge #531 F.&.A.M. Max enjoyed woodcarving and wood burning.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma A. (Rushton) Kennedy; daughter, Jeanette (husband, Dee) Wickard of Wilkinson; three grandchildren, Chris (wife, Julia) Wickard of Greenfield, Kendra (husband, Steve) Gilbreath and David (wife, Leslie) Wickard all of Wilkinson; six great grandchildren, Paige Wickard, Ryan Wickard, Carter Wickard, Jordyn Wickard, Jacob Wickard and Kolton Gilbreath; several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023 at Condo & St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, Indiana with Pastor Tina Kerfoot officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023 and will include a masonic memorial service at 8 p.m.; additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trustees of Purdue University c/o Hancock County 4-H, 972 East Park Ave., Greenfield, IN 46140.
