Matthew Duncan Berry

Matthew Duncan Berry, a beloved husband and friend, sailed into eternal rest on March 6, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by the warmth of family at his Pendleton, Indiana home. Born on September 20, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Matt was the cherished son of Robert W. Berry and Betty J. (Duncan) Berry.

Matt's heart was forever intertwined with that of his wife, Diana (Dubrosky) Berry, with whom he shared countless adventures and unforgettable moments throughout their 45 years of marriage. As a dedicated construction worker at Ring Construction, he built more than just structures; he constructed a life filled with love and laughter for his family.

In his free time, Matt found joy in the great outdoors, whether he was hiking the wooded trails, tracking deer, or trapping critters. He spent many hours as a “shady tree” auto mechanic. His passions also extended to the thrill of hockey, the pages of a good book, moments of relaxation in front of the television, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He approached life with a spirited enthusiasm that resonated with all who knew him.

Matt is survived by his wife, Diana Berry; four children, Kelly (spouse, Joshua) Ring, Tim Berry, Brian (significant other, Phoenix Tyler) Berry, and Jake Berry; Siblings, Vicki (spouse, John) Brandt, Jeff (spouse, Bibi) Berry, Valerie Berry (spouse, Nathan Osborn), Greg Berry, Lance Berry, and Holly (spouse, Doug) Flora; Grandchildren, Rylee, Harper, Hudson, Necho, Skylar, Caden, Josiah, Rio, and Sheldon.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.

A celebration of life funeral service will follow visitation starting at 4:00pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
