Mary “Susan” Harrison, 92, of Anderson, passed away October 23, 2014 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus.
She was born March 3, 1922, in Dugger, IN; the daughter of the late Evert and Eva (Raines) Taylor. She attended Indiana State University and has lived in Anderson since 1942. She retired from the Township Assessor’s Office in 1979 after 29 years of service.
Susan was a member of Central Christian Church, past president of Christian Women’s Fellowship and member of the Alpha Delta Omega Sorority. She was also an avid Anderson Indians Basketball fan and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally (husband, Butch) Isbell of Anderson; grandchildren, Kim (husband, Randy) Rice of Anderson, Mark (wife, Beth) Shirley of Anderson and Zach (wife, Melissa) Isbell of Lebanon; step granddaughter, Jennifer (husband, Neal) Smith of Pendleton; great grandchildren, Jason Rice, Jaeden Shirley, Madisen Isbell, Morgen Isbell, Mikalen Isbell and Michael Isbell; step great grandchildren, Mitchel, Mason and Miller Smith, Eric and Jacob (wife, Brooke) Folkner and Shannon (husband, Stephen) Ellingwood; and several granddogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Harrison; and her brother, Thomas Taylor.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethany Pointe Health Campus for all the special care given to Susan.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Rick Vale officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian Church.
