Mary Ruth Shepler Lloyd was peacefully born into eternal life on June 5, 2021. She was a resident of Anderson for the last 20 years to be near her daughter, Becky, and three grandsons. Mary was born to Elza & Flora (Bishop) Jacobs in Carroll County, Kentucky on October 10, 1924. She was one of eight children including the late J.R. Jacobs of Liberty, Indiana. She came to Liberty in 1943 where she married Lloyd Vernon Shepler. In 1960, she became interested in the Democratic Party, becoming Union County Treasure from 1961-68. She then was employed at Indiana Boxmakers in Connersville and became an EMT in Liberty. She often told stories about being on duty during the blizzard of ’78. Not liking retirement, she worked at Walmart in Richmond for several years until she moved to Anderson. Mary enjoyed the Pacers & Colts, but especially watching her grandsons play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sisters; husband, Lloyd Vernon Shepler in 1958; and husband, Elbert J. Lloyd in 1974.
