Mary Marie Turner

Mary Marie Turner, 80, Lapel, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born on March 12, 1936, in Cass County, Indiana to Robert and Lillian (Surface) Richardson.

She graduated from Markleville High School in 1955.

Marie had worked as an Avon lady for 27 years.

She was a member of the Lapel American Legion Auxilary

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allen Lee "Skip" Turner; three sons, David Turner of Lapel, Ron Turner of Noblesville, and Robert "Bo" Turner (fiance, Denise) of Piney Flats, TN; seven grandchildren, Jessica (husband, Chris) Dunn, Danielle Turner, Elizabeth Turner, Jon Springer, Molly Springer, Shannon Bills, and Tara Hollandsworth; eight great-grandchildren, Lilli, Aiden, Dylan, Simon, Jacob, Juliann, Heidi, and Kaydence; and one sister, Nancy (husband, Jim) Clevenger of Farmland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Pam Richardson.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Mr. Todd Crowder officiating. Burial will follow.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lapel American Legion Auxillary or the church of the donor's choice.
