Mary M. Morgan, 89, of Anderson, passed away December 21, 2014 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born on July 16, 1925 to the late Thomas and Florence (Shaw) McKinney in Paris, KY and lived in Anderson most of her life. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1944 and was retired from Delco-Remy.
Mary was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church and active on the Altar Guild and a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she was on the Altar Guild and a Sunday school teacher and a team member of several Cursillo retreats. She was past president of the Madison County Lady Shrine Club and a UAW member.
She is survived by her son, Philip “P.T.” (wife, Jewel) Morgan of Anderson; granddaughter, Shelby Ellerbee (Dorey Clark) of Noblesville; great granddaughter, Sydney Davis of Indianapolis; two great grandsons, Devon Morgan and Quincey Ellerbee both of Noblesville; brother, Michael (wife, Cookie) McKinney of Anderson; nephew, Michael Mckinney of Ft. Wayne and several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sue Morgan of Fayetteville, SC; and special friend, Bill Jones of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip J. Morgan and her son, Terry A. Morgan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Anne’s Anglican Church at Davis Park with Fr. P.T. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne’s Anglican Church Altar Guild or American Cancer Society.
