Mary Louise Norris

Mary L. Norris, 87, of Anderson, passed away June 22, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born November 7, 1927 in Anderson, the daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth (Wells) Skaggs. She lived in Anderson all of her life and graduated from Anderson High School in 1945. Mary retired in 1985 from Anderson Community Schools after 40 years and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Mary is survived by two half sisters, Barbara (Larry) Moran of Anderson and Shirley Walbridge of Ft. Wayne; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Hazel Roberta Drinkut, Dorothy Louise (Robert) Soverns, Jack (Phyllis) Norris, Frank (Peggy) Norris and several nieces & nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert E. Norris in 2014; a half sister, Martha Benjamin and her step mother, Mildred Skaggs.

The family would like to thank Donna Soverns, Codi Currey, and Linda Pinyon for all the care and concern they gave Mary this past year.

Services will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, June 26, 2015, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory officiated by Rt. Rev. William Smalley. Entombment will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Friends may call fro 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 25 at the funeral home.
