Mary Lou Brown

Mary Lou Brown, 84, of Anderson, passed away on November 12, 2020 at St. Vincent Regional Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1936 in Elwood to the late Lawrence and Ethel (Gordon) Hobbs. Mary retired from Community Northview Nursing Home as a Hospitality Aide after 29 years of service. She was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson and attended New Life Nazarene Church. She is survived by her children, Brenda Gellinger of Cape Coral, Florida, Gary Brown of English, Indiana; grandchildren, Kory (Alexa) Gellinger, Keelie Gellinger, Kameron Gellinger, Gary Jr. Brown, Chelsi Brown; great grandchildren, Zayne Brown, Zoey Brown, Rowan Gellinger, Alister Gellinger, Liliann Vivyan, Chianti Cardone, Nathaniel Vivyan; siblings, Sandra Anderson, Peggy Badgley, Richard Hobbs, Connie Thomas, Terry Hobbs; several nieces and nephews and special friends Anna Workman and Kelly and Jason Shirley. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Brown; son, Rod Brown; siblings, Larry Hobbs, Glenn Hobbs, Barbara Spanger, Ramona Copeland, Jack Gordon. Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Due to recent COVID-19 mandates, all guests are required to wear face coverings or masks and practice social distancing at visitation and services.
