Mary Lee Lawson

Mary Lee Lawson, 84, Anderson, started her journey Friday, December 2, 2016, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born June 30, 1932 in Ironton, OH, the daughter of the late Neal and Sylvia (Lester) New. Together with her husband, Norman, she owned Indiana Mat Company. She loved being a wife and mother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being with her family. Mary is survived by her children, Mike Goodman, Neal (Melissa) Goodman, Sylvia Jean Deeter and Norman Lawson, Jr., all of Anderson; grandchildren, Michael Goodman, Jr., Sheri Lee Gardner, Shawn Goodman, Jennifer Amos, Michelle Back and Jackson Lawson; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Don Elmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lawson; son, Jack Lawson; brother, Jack McDonald; and sister, Vada Evans. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. There really are no words in existence that can actually describe what a wonderful, loving and caring person our mother was. Not only to her family, but to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
