Mary L. Poer

Mary L. Poer, 99, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2020 at Keystone Woods Assisted Living in Anderson. She was born on July 6, 1920 in Kennard, Indiana to Obe and Martha (Cochran) Bolen. Mary graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1938 and was a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Russel) Wolfe of Anderson, Cindy (Brad) Ormes of Markleville; grandson, Trent Jarvis; great grandson, Nash Curtis; special niece and nephew, Susan (William) Herbig of Marietta, Georgia and Harold E. (Pat) Zeh, Jr. of Sun City Center, Florida, along with several other nieces, nephews, and a host of family friends. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Abe Poer, and nine brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Keystone Woods Assisted Living for the care, compassion and respect our Mother received while in their care. Out of respect for personal and public safety, due to the current COVID-19 virus, a private family farewell will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
