The children of Mary (Dickerson) Keesling, age 82, would like to honor her by sharing that she has went home to be with the Lord on December 15th, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Minnie Pearl Dickerson. She was born in Anderson and was a lifelong Madison County resident. She worked at K-mart, retired from GM, and was well remembered as a CNA at Saint John’s Home Healthcare.
She was beloved because of her caring nature, great care and a servant’s heart towards her patients. With her caring touch and gentle way, she brought healing and comfort to those in need. Her servant’s heart will not go unnoticed by the Lord.
She enjoyed being outside more than anything, from mowing her yard, working in her flower gardens to keeping her feeders filled to enjoy the beauty of the birds.
She attended Wesley Free Methodist on West 8th St. in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hersberger, her parents, William, Sr. and Minnie Dickerson, brother, William Dickerson, Jr. and grandson, Adam Smith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Smith, son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Polly Keesling, daughter, Elaine Toles and daughter, Lisa Keesling (Mark Easley). Seven Grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Leigh Ann Vargo, Mike Lawrence, Jason Keesling, Ian Keesling, Diane Arthur, Justin Holbrook; (9) great-grandchildren; (1) great-great granddaughter; (2) sisters, Anna Mae Hubble & Betty Hubble; several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet yorkie, Hollee.
