Mary Kathryn Johnson-Eaton

Mary Kathryn Johnson-Eaton, 88, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at residence following an extended illness.

She was born on December 1, 1934, in Sparta, Tennessee, to Hayden and Essie (Bennett) Mosley.

She graduated from Lapel High School. She retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 18 years of employment.

She was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ in Anderson and Madison County Homemakers. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and traveling. She was a family oriented-person and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Mary is survived by her husband whom she married in 1998, Phil Eaton; a son, Gary (Darla) Johnson of Anderson; a brother, Chuck (Joyce) Mosley of Lapel; a sister, Hattie Hull of Lapel; three grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Philip Johnson, Charity (Rick) Lance; a special caregiver, Rachel Acord; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Johnson; a son, Steven Johnson; her parents; a brother, Glenn Mosley; and a sister. Mildred Leasure.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Don Harsh officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home
