Mary Katherine Kincaid

Mary Katherine Kincaid, age 81, of Anderson, passed away October 18, 2016 at Community Hospital Anderson. She was born October 1, 1935 in Fishersburg, the daughter of the late Cloid A. and Elizabeth E. (Garrison) McGuire. When Mary was around the age of 7, the family moved to Anderson. On September 5, 1975, she married her life-long husband, Russell Kincaid. She was then baptized in the Catholic Church at St. Mary’s in Anderson. As a member of St. Mary, she served as regent of the Daughters of Isabella, sang in the church choir, was a member of the Victoria Guild, served coffee and doughnuts, and worked many social functions for the Knights of Columbus. Her special joy, though, was helping the poor throught the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. In addition to Russell, Mary is survived by her daughters, Judy Thrawley and Katherine Brewer; brother Larry McGuire; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Edward Bagely and Paul Schriver; brother, Jerry McGuire; sister, Marcie McGuire; and first husband Wilford James Montgomery. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Fr. Daniel Shine officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery immediately following. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
