Ms. Mary E. Yost

Mary E. Yost, 98, of Anderson, passed away April 16, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor in Chesterfield after an extended illness. She was born on November 1, 1919 in Anderson to the late Bert and Catherine Walters and was a life long Anderson resident. She retired from St. John’s Hospital after 23 ½ years of service. Mary was life long member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended Victory Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (husband, Joe) Garrett of Alexandria; her son, Jerry (wife, Irene) Yost of Anderson; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and special friend, Karen Barnett. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Catherine and William Laswell. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Miller’s Merry Manor in Chesterfield for the care given to Mary. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Ken King officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral Home.
