Mary Darlene Thacker

Mary Darlene Thacker, 73, of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her Residence in Anderson following an extended illness.She was born on June 27, 1947, in Anderson, Indiana to Jim Heater and Marie (Barbee) Heater.Mary graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1965.She retired from Delco Remy division of General Motors in 1999.Mary loved her family, she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Thacker Jordan of Anderson, and Julie (Eddie) Bargo of Anderson; three grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Huffer of Kentucky, Justin (Hannah) Bargo of Illinois, and Kaira Jackson and Mike Jacobs of Ingalls; six great-grandchildren, Madisyn Nance, Justin Nance, Jr., Ethan Nance, Liam Huffer, Levi Bargo, and Jerriah Bargo. She was also survived by many cousins who were like her siblings.Mary was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation in memory of Mary.Online condolences: www.hersbergerbozell.com
