Mary Cewilla Bilbrey

February 14, 1935 — September 15, 2021

Mary Cewilla Bilbrey, 86, went to be with her loving husband and Heavenly Father on September 15, 2021 after a long battle with dementia. Cee, as her friends called her, retired in 1996 from a career at Western Electric (Indianapolis), then at the food service at Madison Heights High School. They loved to square dance, traveling with friends to square dance conventions, Cancun, Hawaii, Alaska and winter with friends in south Texas and Florida. She loved to decorate for the holidays, gardening, flowers, crafts and decorating sweatshirts (they were beautiful!). They were members of the Night Owls square dance club and longtime worshippers at Bethany Baptist Church. Cee, known for being a devoted wife and loving mother is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Earl) Berkebile; grandchildren, Carol Aynes, Michelle Ardery, Bill Berkebile; great grandchildren, Jordan, Chelsie and Alexis Aynes, Ellen, Margaret and Charlie Ardery, Dru and Dylan Berkebile; great-great granddaughter, Onnalyssse Johnson; brother, Willie (Daffo) Ferrell; sister, Bessie (Roy) Winkler; special sister in-law, Peggy Bilbrey; nieces, Tammy Edgreen, Kim Gibson, Brenda Hughes, Kim Daughtery; several great nieces and nephews and special friend, Mary Boyer. Cee was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Hoyt Bilbrey; parents, Bedford (Arngie) Ferrell; parent in-laws, Pete Bilbrey, Delia (George) Bilbrey Mandrell; brother in-law, Lillard Bilbrey. A special thank you to all the care givers; granddaughter, Carol Aynes; great granddaughter, Chelsie Aynes; great great niece, Emily Gooding; great-great nephew Adin Gooding; Kathy Sanderford; all the care givers at Beaumont and especially the staff at Bethany Pointe Legacy and Legacy Lane. You made mom feel special and loved. A very very special thank you to Lisa Miller for looking after mom, making her look pretty and getting her whatever she wanted to eat! You made her happy. To her Pastor, Bob Adams, thank you for all of your visits to comfort mom.
