Mary Celestine Jayne Craig

February 13, 1920 — June 6, 2017

Mary Celestine Jayne (Staley) Craig, 97, Anderson, passed away peacefully at her home on June 6, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1920 and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She attended Anderson High School prior to working at Guide Lamp during World War II. Mary later attended the Keystone School of Real Estate in Indianapolis, becoming a licensed realtor and broker. Mary was an active member of the Alpha Chapter of ABWA, later a charter member of the Medallion Chapter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Allen Craig, as well as her parents and four siblings. Mary is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Linda) Craig and David (Bonnie) Craig; her four grandchildren, Mark (Melissa) Craig, Eric (Tamra) Craig, Whitney Craig Dick, Jennifer (Jeremy) Deal and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 12:00 PM Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Dr. Michael Coyner officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
