Mrs. Mary Catherine Eacret

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Eacret, 56, of Markleville, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was born October 16, 1960, in New Castle. She received her Master’s Degree from Indiana University. Cathy taught at Pendleton Heights for 26 years and at Franklin Central for 6 years. She was a lifelong Bears fan, an avid IU Sports fan, and loved boating and waterskiing. Above all, she loved her family more than anything. Cathy is survived by her husband, Michael D. Eacret; children, Erin Nicole & Paige Marisa Eacret; father, William R. Curts; brothers, William J. & Michael S. Curts; and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Wills) Curts. Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 15, 2017, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 14, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
