Mary Catherine Carr

Mary Catherine Carr, 66, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born March 12, 1955, to Robert Ashby and Anna (DeLong) Ashby.Mary attended Anderson and Indianapolis Public Schools. She enjoyed cooking, playing games at the casino, and socializing with her friends and family. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to admire her plants at home.Mary worked at Frisch's Big Boy in Anderson as a manager for many years. Prior to her being a manager at Frisch's, she was a server at many restaurants in the Anderson area.She is survived by her husband Tom Carr of Anderson; one daughter Angela (Todd) Powell of Kokomo; one sister, Vicky McKenney of New Castle; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Teresa Dodson.A combined funeral service for Mary Catherine and her sister Teresa will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051, with the Rev. Loyce Webb officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
