Mary Carolyn Boyer

Mary Carolyn Boyer, 93, of Anderson passed away on April 12, 2025. She was born on June 7, 1931 in Elwood, IN to the late James Cunningham and Lena (Schell) Hunt. After graduating from high school, she married the love of her life, Jack R. Boyer. She worked a number of jobs before coming to work for Larry Gaskill at State Farm. She worked as the office manager for a number years, even working at 85 years old! Mary loved cheering on the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. She enjoyed cooking, making fudge, and was a Coca-Cola and bacon fanatic. She enjoyed listening to her husband play the piano and spending time with her mom. Most importantly, Mary loved her family and spending time with them.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Rick L. (Patricia) Boyer and Rhonda S. Martin; grandchildren, Jason Boyer, Jacob Martin, Brittany Nyansimera, Laura K. Murdock, Cynthia A. (Tom) Burris, and Jason E. (Hang) Shoults; great-grandchildren, Jordan Boyer, Sophie Boyer, Carson Boyer, Alexis Nyansimera, and Autumn Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Peggy Bilbrey, Joan Foster, and Carolyn Trueblood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Melvin Hunt; husband of 30 years, Jack; brother, James Cunningham, Jr.; and granddaughter, Rachel M. Martin.

Her visitation will be on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes- Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. Her funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Spencer Spaulding will be officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be gifted to the charity of your choice.
