Mary Alberta Clendenen

Mary Alberta "Bea" Clendenen, 85, Anderson, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Countryside Manor in Anderson following a brief illness. She was born on May 6, 1927, in Pendleton, Indiana to Albert and Mary (Davis) Mannon. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1945. Mary retired in 1991 from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson after 41 years of employment. She loved her classmates from Anderson High School class of 1945 and met with many of them each month. She also cherished her monthly time with retiree friends from Plant 10. She is survived by two daughters, Janie Delph of Anderson and Mary Kay (husband, Clive) Sarvich of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Kristy (husband, Rick) Newcomer of Danville and Mary Ann (husband, Brandon) Waterman of Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Megan Newcomer, Austin and Delaney Waterman, and Jesse and Tony Chelli. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom and wife June Mannon; a sister, Sally Hay; a grandson, John Dale Murdock; and Richard "Bill" Clendenen. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, February 25, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal Street, Anderson, Indiana 46012.
