Mary A. Hendry, 95, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday March 12, 2003, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on April 29, 1907, in Perkinsville, Indiana to Coad and Kathryn (Branch) Lannes. She was a 1925 Anderson High School graduate and had been employed for several years at Delco Remy. She married Ebert C. Hendry in 1931 and together they managed a farming operation in Hamilton county for many years before retirement to Pendleton in 1992. Mary was an active member of the former Perkinsville United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Melinda Keezer of Pendleton; a granddaughter, Dr. Samantha (husband, Robert) Davenport of Fly Creek, NY; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Davenport, Alexander Davenport, and Amanda Davenport; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years; a sister, Helen McManus; and a brother, Eugene Lannes. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton with Rev. John Pflum officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
