Mary A. Gray

Mary A. Gray, 94, of Anderson, passed away on June 7, 2019 at her residence. She was born on April 18, 1925 in Anderson to the late Ernest and Hazel (Gustin) Ashby. Mary worked at Deckers in Anderson. She later retired as an Inspector from Guide Lamp in 1985. She was a member of Eastside Church of God. She is survived by her sons, John (Elaine) Gray of Pendleton, Danny (Kristen) Gray of Anderson; grandchildren, Dana Gray, Dannielle Gray, John Anthony (Ivy) Gray, Amber Leigh (Aaron) Wise, Clint (Nicole) Bledsoe, Marin Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Aubrey Wise, Anthony David Wise, Ohara Bledsoe, Tasha Miller, Jacob Miller, Tanner Winningham, and Cannon Bledsoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Gray; son, Tommy Gray; adopted mother, Viola Talbert; siblings, Kenneth Ashby, Dorothy Skinner, Bessie Van Erman; in-laws, Ruth and John Gray. Services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Mary Ann Randolph officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N Payne Rd # 100, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
