Marvin L.C. Clifton, 86, of Anderson, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his residence. Marvin was born in Ashland, Mississippi on November 6, 1932. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Marvin retired from Delco Remy in 1986 as a Tool & Die Maker Supervisor. He was a member of the Ovid Lodge #164-Indiana Free Masonry, South Meridian Church of God and the Indianapolis 500 Old-Timers Club. His hobbies included working on Indy cars, bowling, flying, playing ping pong, coaching softball at Pendleton Heights High School and following all PHHS athletics. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, Katy and Carson. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Martha, who he married February 1, 1959. He is also survived by his son, Michael (spouse Patty) Clifton; daughter Karla (spouse Jay) Cameron; two grandchildren Katy Cameron, and Carson Cameron. Services to celebrate the life of Marvin will be Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Brown Butz and Diedring Funeral Services at 6:00 P.M. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Reverend Dale Landis and Reverend Steve Wimmer will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. The family would also like to express their gratitude for the excellent care that Marvin received from Dr. Hazim Rimawi and his staff at St. Vincent Medical Group.
