Marvin A. Forrester, 74, Anderson, passed away June 9, 2015 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness.
He was born May 30, 1941, in North Vernon and lived most of his life in Anderson. He retired from Delco Remy and owned and operated the Forrester Heating and Cooling Co. He loved spending time with his family which was his life.
He is survived by his friend and mother of his children, Zella Forrester of Anderson; two daughters, Debby (Mike) Blackmon of Anderson and Gay (Randy) Doss of Pendleton; grandchildren, Blake (Brittney) Landrum of Pendleton, Stephen (Amanda) Landrum of Pendleton, Chad (Kayte) Blackmon of Anderson, Cogan Blackmon of Anderson, Adam Blackmon of Pendleton and Angela (Jason) Grant of Pendleton; great grandchildren, Reagan Landrum, Easton Landrum, Tyler Jones, Madison and Molly Grant; one brother, Vinson (Nancy) Forrester of Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl P. and Mary A. (Rogers) Forrester; one brother and one sister, Earl Forrester and Dorothy Cates.
Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
