Martha A. Murdock, 93, of Anderson, passed away August 2, 2024 at Northview Health and Living.
She was born on June 20, 1931 in Elwood, the daughter of the late Fred and Bernice (Cunningham) Jackson. Martha was an active member of the Salvation Army and volunteered Ringing Bells at Christmas. She was very proud of the dogs that her and her husband, Charles, trained and the many awards that they won both in Indiana and across the country. Her greatest joys in life were serving Christ and her family.
Martha will be dearly missed by her sons, Charles R. (Stephanie) Murdock, Jr. and Roger Murdock all of Anderson; grandchildren, Kevin (Lisa) Beebe of Florida, Mike (Kim) Murdock of Lapel, Pamela (Chris) Juarez of Michigan, and Joe Beebe of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Megan Beebe of Florida, Taylor Rose and Aiden Murdock of Lapel, and Marco Juarez of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Charles R. Murdock, Sr.; daughter, Sharon (Murdock) Beebe; grandson, Charles R. Murdock, III; and brothers and sisters, Vernon, Colleen, Rosetta, Sue and Walter George.
The visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Major Mike Wolfe will be officiating.
Following the ceremony, burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Martha's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
