Martha Jean Stacy

ANDERSON-Martha J. Stacy, 87, of Anderson, passed away September 27, 2018 at Community Northview. Martha was born, October 2, 1931, in Alexandria. She was the daughter of the late John and Florence Wicker. She has been a lifelong Madison County resident and was employed with Delco-Remy for thirty years and retired in 1983. For 25 years, she and her husband wintered in Nokomis, Florida. They enjoyed traveling and taking cruises together visiting the Caribbean and Hawaii several times. Martha was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kermit Stacy; her children, Lola Jean ( Jim) Mumbower, Don (Cindy) Watson, Doug (Diana) Stacy; grandchildren, James (Gina) Mumbower, Jennifer Mumbower, John (Jeanie) Mumbower, Caryn (Josh) Harvey, Courtney (Jon) Francke, Selby (Preston) Watson, Ben (Nicole ) Watson, Keely Stacy and Derick (Mindy) Stacy; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and sisters; JW Wicker, Rebecca Felts, and Geraldine Baker. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Samuel Jackson of the Primrose United in Christ Church officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
