Martha A. Anderson, 84, Lapel, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on December 20, 1926, in Noblesville, Indiana to Claude and Carrie (Revis) Roudebush.
She is survived by four daughters, Judy Cornelius of Fort Myers, FL, Shirley Wood and Nancy Horn of Lapel, and Carolyn Remy of Fort Myers, FL; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gary (Renee) Anderson of Lapel; one sister, Phyllis Gray of Noblesville; eleven grandchildren, Terri (husband, Rob) Williams of Anderson, Christopher (wife, Trisha) Needler of Anderson, Shelly (husband, Ken) Segrest of Alabama, Christy Goldman King of Alabama, Dodi (husband, Todd) Sylvester of Orange City, FL, Mike (wife, Tara) Wallace of Pendleton, Lisa (husband, Perry) Bush of Fort Myers, FL, Tommy Anderson of San Francisco, CA, Danny Anderson of Indianapolis, and Amanda Anderson and Katy Anderson of Lapel; fifteen great-grandchildren, Shannon Weston, Shon DeLawter, Austyn Needler, Kenny and Jacob Segrest, Jessica and Jordan Goldman, Shelby Schultz, Lucas Sylvester, Brooke and Grant Wallace, Darren Bush, David Anderson, and Kailey and Kennedy Stockdale; two step-great-grandchildren, Perry James Bush and Jesse Williams; and three great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden DeLawter, Abriella Weston, and Alyssa Minchew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garold Anderson; two children, Gary and Valoris Anderson; four brothers, Jim, John, Joe, and Don Roudebush; and a sister, Mabel Snead.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Geneaology Department of the Anderson Public Library, 111 East 12th Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016-2701.
