Marlin Keith Betts

M. Keith Betts, 81, Anderson, passed away peacefully, August 2, 2015, at his residence.

He was born September 16, 1933, in Vernon, IL, the son of the late Cloud and Helen (Doolen) Betts. He was a 1952 graduate of Vandalia High School and received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. Keith moved to Anderson in 1968 and in 1977 founded M.K. Betts Engineering and Contracting, Inc. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine Temple and the Madison County Shrine Club. He was past president of the Edgewood Country Club and the Association of General Contractors of Indiana. Keith enjoyed fishing, golf and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his four children, Greg (Jerri) Betts, Teresa (Bruce) Hendricks, Chris Betts and Mike (Dee Wilkins) Betts all of Anderson; grandchildren, Amber (Seth) Johnsen, Autumn (Jim) Pratt, Jordan (Brandon) Moore, Chris (Nikki) Gamble, Carissa (Chris) Stevens, Kellie (Zac) Mattox, Justin (fianc, Amber Cross) Troub, Ryan Troub, Destinee Troub, Ian Betts, Zoey Betts and 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph A. (Helen) Betts of Texas; a special friend, Delila Beckman of Il and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Ann Betts in 2012 and one great grandson, Chandler Jude Moore.

Service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday August 7, 2015, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Donna Goings officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic and Supplies division at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Foundation.
