Ms. Marjorie Reed

Marjorie S Reed, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, after a brief illness. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Anderson, a graduate of both Anderson High School and Ball State University. She was a retired teacher from the Anderson Community School district, having taught PE, History and Social studies at the secondary school level. After retirement she and her husband spent time in Florida and traveling, making new friends wherever they went. She was preceded in death by her husband William who was also a teacher and principle in the Anderson School District. Mr. Reed passed away in 2007. Marjorie was very active in Central Christian Church and was the oldest continuous member of the congregation. She was also very active in alumni associations of Anderson High School. Marjorie is survived by two sons, David (Natalie) of Seattle, Washington and Mark (Louise) of Collinsville Illinois, and one granddaughter Alyssa Reed of Belleville, Illinois. Funeral services will be private with no visitation due to the covid outbreak. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
