Mariyn L. Baker

Marilyn L. Baker, 82, of Anderson, passed away October 1, 2014 at the Woodlands Nursing Home in Muncie following an extended illness.

Marilyn was born January 23, 1932 in Anderson, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Harlan) Hastings. She was a lifetime resident of the Anderson area and had been employed at Guide Corp, in the accounting department, for 32 years retiring in 1983. Marilyn enjoyed reading, traveling, and collecting cat memorabilia.

She is survived by nephews; Steven (Kim) Estep of Zionsville and Doug Estep of Muncie; great nephew, Weston Estep of Zionsville; step son, Jami (Denise) Baker of Tamarac, Florida, and two step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; her husband, James Baker; sister, Mary Ann Estep and a brother, Donald Hastings.

Services will be at noon, Tuesday, October 7, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
