Marilyn I. Harris, 72, Lapel, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness.
She was born on January 17, 1936, in Noblesville, Indiana to Ralph and Carolyn (McClintick) Irwin.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1954.
Marilyn retired in 1985 from Delco Remy.
She enjoyed camping with her family at River Bend Camp Ground in Noblesville.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki (husband, Terry) Kendall of Knightstown and Cheri (husband, Jerry) Small; five step-children, Tim (wife, Pam) Harris of Westfield, Rodney (wife, Cherlyn) Harris of Noblesville, Vicky (husband, Bill) Meldahl of Noblesville, Terry (husband, Greg) Krieg of Westfield, and Debbie Harris of Fort Wayne; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carroll G. Harris; one son, John J. Finney; and one grandson, Brandon Harris .
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Russell Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
