Marilyn Carlton

Marilyn Carlton, 87 of Wilkinson, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Lindberg Crossing in Anderson. She was born April 1, 1933, in Shirley to the late Jacob & Opal (Railsback) Bright. She was a graduate of Wilkinson High School class of 1951, was a member of the Shirley-Wilkinson United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Club, and the Shirley Historical Society. She and her husband Jay were married 50 years before his passing. Marilyn is survived by her sons & daughter-in-laws; Thomas & Naomi Carlton and Todd & Pamela Carlton of Wilkinson; grandchildren, Ashley, Hailey, Emiley Carlton, Elizabeth & Jason Helms, Samuel & Ashlyn Carlton; and a sister, Patsy Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay; son, Jon Carlton; and sisters, Reona Phillips, Elizabeth Jackson, and Janet Reeves; brothers, Jon & Leon Bright. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory Wilkinson, with Pastor Rick Hutson officiating.
