Marillis Ann Richardson

Marillis Ann Richardson, 56, Derby, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born on August 24, 1954, in Noblesville, Indiana to Lester and Hester (Sides) Metzger.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1972 and earned an associates degree in accounting from Indiana Business College.
Marillis had been the officer manager at Fredericks' Construction in Pendleton for 20 years.
She was a member of the Lily Dale Church of Christ in Tell City. She enjoyed gardening and cooking as well as fishing
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tom Richardson; one daughter, Carrie (husband, Aaron) Davis of Clayton, OH; two step-children, Dustin Richardson of Fishers and Courtney Richardson of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Eric, and Ellie Davis; her parents, Lester O. and Hester (Sides) Metzger of Lapel; eight brothers and sisters, Bob (wife, Susan) Metzger of Lapel, Wayne Metzger of Pendleton, Gerald (wife, Kathy) Metzger of Anderson, Marilyn (husband, Eldon) Garber of Pendleton, Margaret (husband, Roger) Garber of Chambersburg, PA, Patricia (husband, Jesse) Riffey of Wisconsin, John Metzger of Lapel, and Bill (wife, Beth) Metzger of Lapel; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel with Brother Eddie Olberding officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, November 26, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
