Marie K. Phillips

Marie K. Phillips, 85, Anderson, passed away March 11, 2015, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after a several month illness.

She was born July 22, 1929, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Floyd and Edna (Brown) Groves. She was a life long resident and a graduate of Anderson High School. Marie loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, summers at Lake Wawasee and winters in Siesta Key, Florida.

She is survived by her three children, Dr. Sharon Phillips Andreoli of Zionsville, Jo Ellen (Donald, Jr.) Gwinnup of Anderson and Jay Robert (Carol) Phillips of Anderson; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn (Avery) Hudspeth, Eric Michael Andreoli, Kelly (Nick) Durr, Jamie Cope & Kent Hemmick, Joshua (Kasey) Phillips, Laura Lee (Andrew) Forsman and Jacob Paul (J. Nichole) Phillips; Great Grandchildren, Abigail Lane Hudspeth, Sophia Durr, Macey Durr, Tatum Durr, Mylan Phillips, William Forsman and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert Phillips; a son-in-law, Barry Cope; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Walter Weisenberger.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Dr. Paul A. Crow, Jr. officiating.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

A private entombment will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Animal Protection League or the Madison County Humane Society.
