Marianne Short, 70, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born December 17, 1947, in Anderson and graduated from St. Mary High School. Marianne had worked for St. John’s and Core Source. She was a member of Wesley Free Methodist Church. Marianne was creative and loved crafts such as cross-stitching. She loved her family and enjoyed time at the horse track. Marianne is survived by her children, Kerianne Taylor & Matthew Short; mother, Agnes (Lang) Amrine; grandchildren, Jacob Short, Jordan Short, Jeffrey Asher, & Gabriel Short; siblings, Judith (husband, William) Ingles, Julia Daugherty, Susan Richardson, Cynthia (husband, Jeffrey) Gilleland, Andrea (husband, Mark) Maudlin, & Gary (wife, Jill) Amrine; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Amrine; niece, Christy Ingles; and nephew, Michael Maudlin. Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3017 W. 8th Street, with Pastors Marc Adams & Blake Chenoweth officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until time of services at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Free Methodist Church.
