Margie R. Humphrey

Margie R. Humphrey, 87, Anderson, passed away Monday, August 2, 2004, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following a brief illness.
She was born on January 12, 1917, in Clinton County, Indiana to Walter and Ruby (Earlywine) Henderson. She attended Bethel United Methodist Church and had been a resident of Longfellow Plaza for the last 15 years. She is survived by one son, Jim (wife, Joyce) Humphrey of Anderson; one sister, Norma Lay of St. James City, FL; two grandchildren, Susan (husband, Larry) Downey of Pendleton, and Dennis (wife, Tracy) Humphrey of Pendleton; five great grandchildren, Amanda Downey, Austin Downey, Megan Humphrey, Ian Humphrey, and Zachary Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her husband James L. Humphrey in 1985; a son, John Humphrey; and a grandson, David Humphrey. Services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Brian Bays officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Bethel United Methodist Church, 4011 West 200 South, Anderson, Indiana 46011.
