Marc S. Heckaman, 66, left this earthly world to be with our Lord and Savior on December 27, 2019 after a brief illness. Marc was born on March 26,1953 in South Bend, Indiana to Laird and Jo Heckaman. Marc lived in Niles, Michigan for 10 years before moving to Pendleton, Indiana. Marc was a 1971 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. He started working at Mace’s grocery store in 1970 and continued working until Marsh bought the building turning it into LoBills, Marc retired in 2017 after 47 years. Marc was an avid fisherman, he loved being on the water, especially Pelican Lake in Orr, Minnesota, where he recently vacationed with his sister and her family. He had several special friends that he loved fishing with. Some called him Marco, others Marcus, he was also papaw, uncle Marc, dad and most importantly he was known as a husband. He married the love of his life Tanya on June 12, 2004 after meeting for the first time in 1995. She would walk into the store and Marc would rush to the back to tell his best friend Lance “that gal is out there”. Once they began dating he would chase her around boat shows with his Billy Bob teeth, memories we will always remember. Marc is survived by his loving wife Tanya, daughter Amanda, two granddaughters Kinley and Kaylee, sister Maureen “Moe” (Jerry) Liston, two nieces Emilee and Brenna. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Laird and Jo Heckaman whom he loved and missed dearly. Marc will be missed by many, but remembered by any and everyone that came into contact with him. His blue eyes and smile could light up a room.
