Mamie Louise Platt

Mamie Louise Platt, 88, of Anderson, passed away on April 24, 2019 at Community Hospital Anderson. She was born on August 7, 1930 in Anderson to the late Harry and Minnie (Stanley) Ruth. Mamie retired from RCA in Marion in 1995 after 28 years of service. She was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1160. Mamie enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, card and board games, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie (Walter) Davis of Middletown, Pam McCord of Anderson, Wendy Graham of Lapel; grandchildren, Keith Bott, Chance Graham, and Parker Graham; sister Marietta Schmidt, several nieces and nephews. Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, William Gorman Platt, sons, Larry Dean Platt and Timothy Lee Platt; brother, Fred Ruth, and sisters, Pansy, Violet, and Harriet. Services will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. .
