Makenzie Nicole Taylor

Makenzie Nicole Taylor, 13, Pendleton, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Clarian North Medical Center in Carmel following a brief illness.
She was born on July 9, 1996, in Anderson, Indiana to Donald and Debra (Lum) Taylor.
Makenzie had been a student at Forest Hills Elementary in Anderson before attending Greenfield Central Schools. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed bright colors. She was very social and loved being around people
She is survived by her mother, Debra (Lum) Taylor of Pendleton; her father, Donald (wife, Jenise) P. Taylor of Pendleton; two brothers, Aaron Taylor and Cameron Taylor both of Pendleton; two step-brothers, Josh and Jamie; a step-sister, Jessica; her maternal grandfather, Douglas (wife, Ruth) Lum of Anderson; her paternal grandparents, MaDonna and Richard Taylor both of Brownsburg; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Diane Lum; her great-grandparents, Doris and Jerry Nelson, and Rose and Donald Horton.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Steven Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, June 28, 2010, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or the Shrine Childrens Hospital.
