Madonna Jean (Mullanix) Davis, 86, of Anderson passed away on February 7, 2021 at her home. Madonna was born on May 7, 1934 in Georgetown, Kentucky to John Dewey and Ethel B. (Robey) Mullanix. She was a graduate of Markleville High School, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and Ladies Shrine Club. In 1987, Madonna retired from Delco-Remy after thirty-two years of service. Madonna is survived by her children: Teresa L. Davis of Louisville, KY, Zen (Luba) Benefiel of Arizona and Matthew (Renee’) Davis of Anderson; grandchildren: Ian (Elaine) Zachary Davis, Riley Layne (Eric) Anderson and Mattie B. Davis; great grandchildren: Quinn Maverick Davis and Eleanor Mae Anderson; brother, Harold (Betty) Mullanix; sister, Sue (Kenneth) Johns. Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence; brothers: Brad and Junior Mullanix, and sisters: Sylvia Kellams, Peggy Stephens and Eva Krall. Madonna was a woman of exceptional strength, courage and kindness, and her family will celebrate her life on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service, 515 East 53rd Street. At 1:45 PM, Madonna’s family will take her to East Maplewood Cemetery to be laid to rest next to her husband Clarence. Those attending services are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.
