Mac Donald Castor

November 12, 1912 — January 19, 2003

Mac D. Castor, 90, West Lafayette, passed away Sunday January 19, 2003, at Heritage Health Care Center in West Lafayette following an extended illness. He was born on November 12, 1912, in Hamilton County, Indiana to Howard and Ida (McDonald) Castor. He was a WWII Navy veteran and served on board the U. S. S. Barnwell. He was a retired iron worker and a member of Noblesville Masonic Lodge. He is survived by two children, Judy (husband, James) Castor Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI, and Sidney (wife, Polly) Castor of West Lafayette; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Prairie Memorial Cemetery in Noblesville and will include military graveside rites conducted by the Lapel American Legion Post 212. Burial will be at the Prairie Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Dwelling Place, Inc., 44 Division South, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49503.
