Lynell Van Winkle, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022 in Anderson IN. She was born in Alabama to the late Lewis & Gertie (Williamson) Kugler. She was a graduate of Anderson High School. Lynell worked various jobs throughout her lifetime and retired as a receptionist for Dr. William Kopp. She was a member of East Lynn Christian Church and the Anderson American Legion #127. She loved wintering in Florida, taking care of her flower garden, shopping and playing cards, especially euchre with her friends. She loved to cook and entertain at her home, especially at Christmas time. Her Christmas day (evening) parties were attended by many throughout the years and will be greatly missed. She was married to Gordon G. Van Winkle for 58 years who proceeded her in death in 2011. She was also proceeded in death by her oldest son, Michael Van Winkle. Lynell is survived by her children, Patrick Van Winkle & Chris (wife, Joell) Van Winkle; daughters-in-law, Wilma Van Winkle & Jodi Van Winkle; grandchildren, Ryan Van Winkle, Kati (husband, Justin) Hobbs, Chad Van Winkle, Lauren (husband, Adam) Maze, Amy Van Winkle, Madison Van Winkle, & Sam Van Winkle; and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 15th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Steve De-fields Gambrel officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. The service was streamed on Facebook.
