Lula Mae Godbey

Lula Mae Godbey, 96, of Pendleton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Rawlins House Nursing Home. Lula Mae was born on June 19, 1928 in Middletown, Indiana to Everett Forney and Lilith (Cox) Forney. 

She graduated from Middletown High School then later married Minvel Young and George Godbey whom now both precede her in death.

Lula Mae was a home health nurse for 30 years serving numerous people. She also worked for the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Service.

She is survived by three children, Diannah Riley of Florida, Judy Young of Tecumseh, OK, and David (Jennie) Young of Pendleton; Three grandchildren, Aaron Riley, Kurt Underwood, and Shelley Landers.

Lula Mae was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; Grandson, Davin Young; Son-in-law, Larry Riley; and nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.

A funeral service will follow visitation at the funeral home starting at 1:00pm with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Burial will conclude ceremonies at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
