Loyce R. Gaither

Loyce R. Gaither, 77, of Anderson, passed away March 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born December 20, 1937, in Alexandria, to the late Lawrence and Zula Gaither and lived in Madison County his entire life.

Loyce served in the Army National Guard stationed at Fort Knox. On November 19, 1971, he married Patricia House and together they raised their family. He worked as a tool & dye maker at Delco-Remy for 30 years, retiring in December 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Trish” Gaither of Anderson; children, Cynthia (Terry) Bailey of Anderson, Kirk (Lori) Gaither of Anderson, Ronald Gaither of Winchester and Katherine (Brian) Jacoby of El Dorado Hills, CA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank, from the bottom of their hearts, Dr. David Mares, Dr. James Ong and the staff at Countryside Manor Healthcare Center.

Loyce’s wishes were that there be no viewing or service at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
