Louis Steven Steve Mcdaniel

Louis Steven Steve McDaniel, 62, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Community Hospital of Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on May 16, 1949, in Evansville, Indiana to Harold and Juanita (Terrell) McDaniel.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1967 to 1970.
Steve retired as a Captain in 2008 from the Pendleton Correctional Facility.
He was a member of the Piston Poppers Car Club in Anderson
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Woodward) McDaniel; one son, Michael (wife, Robin) McDaniel of DeMotte; his mother, Juanita (Terrell) McDaniel of Lapel; his father, Harold (wife, Anita) McDaniel of Anderson; a step-son, Bill (wife, Sherry) Denny of Greenfield; one step-daughter, Kimberly (husband, Gilbert) Boles of Anderson; three brothers, James (wife, Bonnie) Reynolds of Jamestown, KY, Joe (wife, Margie) McDaniel of Sterling Heights, MI, and Paul McDaniel of Anderson; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Christina Denny.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Chaplain Lloyd White officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel where the Lapel American Legion Post 212 will conduct military graveside rites.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
