Lorrena Short

Lorrena Short, 85, of Anderson, passed away on January 12, 2022 at Henry Community Health Center, New Castle. She was born on November 2, 1936 in Anderson to the late Floyd and Gerty (Lions) Stohler. Lorrena was a homemaker. She attended Pleasant Valley Church. She loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Boils of New Castle, Johnny Short of Summitville, Helen (Dave) Baker; siblings, Eddie (Carolyn) Stohler, Floyd “Junior” Stohler Jr. and wife Virginia, Dorothy (Frank) Stussler; Grandchildren, Josh (Summer) Short, Johnny (Michelle) Short Jr., Crystal Boils, Wade (Jaimie) Boils Jr.; several great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lorrena was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Short; son, James E. Short; sisters, Ruth Griffin, Evelyn Cooper, Rosemary Cooper; brothers, Tommy Stohler, Tim Stohler and Charles Stohler. Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Tim Warrum officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Walk Cemetery in Anderson. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
