Rev. Lorne Verlin MacMillan, 92, passed away on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1927 in Rosebank, Prince Edward Island, Canada, the son of the late Charles Leslie and Elizabeth Ann (Hardy) MacMillan. Lorne attended Eastern Nazarene College and was given an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. During his ministry he pastored churches throughout Indiana in Marion, Muncie, Peru, Auburn, Winchester, Anderson and Toronto, Canada. He served as the Canadian Central District Superintendent until his retirement in 1992. During his retirement he was President of the Florida Holiness Campground. He also enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Lorne is survived by his sons, David and Ray (Sheila) MacMillan; grandchildren, Ann (Andrea) Velasco, Jill Spiess, Kylie Case, and Katie and Kristen MacMillan; great-granddaughter, Klaire Case; and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; his parents; and his siblings, Joseph, Charlie, Ray, Agnes, Ethel, Harold, Heber, Hamil, Edith, Kenneth, Norman, Gladys, Douglas, and Fred. He will be buried beside Joyce at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
