Lonnie L. Smith

Lonnie L. Smith, 76, of Anderson, passed away Oct 18, 2018 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness. He was born June 5, 1942, in Anderson and he lived in the area his entire life. He retired from Delco-Remy in 1993 and was a member of UAW Local #662. Lonnie is survived by his siblings, Nancy Rush of Anderson, Ronald Smith of Phoenix, AZ, Judy (Glen) Beady of Ft. Wayne, Rex (Shirley) Smith of Anderson and Deborah (Larry) Zachary of Anderson; special niece Brenda Crim and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren A Smith and Thelma L. (Cox) Reno; wife, Sandra J. Smith; sister, Patricia Wilson; and brothers, Jerry Smith and Danny Smith. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
