Lois Jean Mills

Lois Jean Mills, 92 of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born on November 13, 1923, in Noblesville, Indiana, to Arthur Galen and Mabel Marie (Minniear) Heiny.
Jean graduated from Noblesville High School in 1940.
She is survived by five children, Karen (husband, Sam) Swadley of Pendleton, Betty Smidley of Noblesville, Marsha Stitt of Fishers, Barb (husband, Jerry) Womack of Kentucky, and Bob Mills of Tennessee; nine grandchildren Sandra (Richard) Myers, Mick (Vivian) Ampy, Cyndi Hiatt, Melissa Stitt, Cheri (George) Jordan, Shane Womack, Amy Kirkwood, Adam Mills, and Brandon Mills; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Mills; one grandson, Corey Mills; and a sister, Lucille Davis.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 16, 2016, in Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel with Pastors Glenn Knepp and Mark Fidler officiating. Burial will follow in Crownland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm , Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donors choice.
